Many Scholarship Students Struggle to Continue Their Online Studies

Schools and Universities remain closed. Students and scholarship participants who have the means, have the opportunity to continue their studies online. Sadly many are unable to, because of poor living conditions.

All group gatherings are banned, affecting children at our afterschool project, as well as those at our soup kitchens. Thankfully staff and volunteers are able to continue delivery of sandwiches and packaged food.

Grocery deliveries to the elderly in our Senior Care programm and families in our Family Sponsorship program are limited in some areas, as per government requirements, but carried out regularly in the areas we are allowed. Our last delivery contained the Bible Correspondence course lessons for participants. We also keep regular contact with those we can by phone, offering emotional and spiritual support. Food parcels that were delivered before Easter included a special Easter message.

Adhering to strict safety regulations, our Prison Ministry coordinator delivered hygiene items and traditional Easter cake to the women’s prison. These were handed to female inmates by prison staff.
