On March 25, Ukraine's government approved declaring an emergency across the whole country for the next 30 days over the spread of the coronavirus, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said at a televised government meeting – reports US News. Previously an emergency had been declared in certain regions and in the capital Kiev.

“Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said last week that under emergency conditions in the country and in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus a forced hospitalisation of persons tested positive for coronavirus infection is envisaged” – reports the Kyiv Post. “According to the minister, those who neglect the need for self-isolation or hospitalization will face administrative measures.”
