Andreea was born with a cleft pallete at a time when any abnormality was seen as a shame to the parents. This was why Andreea, and many like her, were abandoned by their parents to an institution.

Throughout her formative years she was stared at and ridiculed. Her problem also meant that she could not speak or even eat easily. Her mother, an alcoholic, wanted nothing to do with Andreea. She was a good child, and very hardworking but, unable to find the means to pay for surgery, this all had a profound and terrible affect on her.

MWB heard of Andreea’s condition and decided to get involved. Thanks to the support we have offered she has now undergone three operations. Even the doctors were wonderfully surprised by the great results.

Andreea is now a different child. She speaks clearly. She eats well. She has become quite articulate. Andreea is no longer ashamed to look people in the face. “Now nobody looks strangely at me anymore!” she shares delightedly. She feels loved and accepted by both God and people. Her life has changed so much.
