Hasbije’s Story
Hasbije is on her own with her five children. Their home is no more than a beach cabin, damp, dangerous and unhealthy. The only income she has is by selling her blood on a monthly basis. She had no education and her hopeless and despair extended to her family.
Mission Without Borders heard about her situation and now gives Hasibje help every month. She receives food, clothing and homeware. But that’s not all. She is supported emotionally and spiritually. Now Hasbije has been able to change her life for the better. For the first time someone cares about her plight. For the first time she has known what it means to know Jesus. Her thirst for understanding the Bible has enabled her to read. Hasbije now tries to fend for her children by picking up cleaning jobs whenever she can. Once she felt hopeless, depressed, ready to end her life. Now she faces life having a firm faith and believing in a better future for her children.
