Family Care
The MWB Family Care program is in operation in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Its objective is to respond to the ongoing physical, social and economic hardships incurred by families throughout Eastern Europe.
Overall, our goal is to provide local organizations, needy families and vulnerable individuals (those who fall below the poverty line or are handicapped, etc.) with material and self-help aid, which restores dignity and provides hope in the face of their country’s extensive economic reforms and transition to democratic states with market economies. As a result of these transitions, hyperinflation, depleted agricultural and industrial resources, unemployment and insufficient incomes impinge on the family’s survival capacities, creating a critical need for the assistance Mission Without Borders can provide.
MWB responds to this crisis through the Family Care Project. Support is given in the distribution of donated goods (food, clothing, blankets, tents and medical help) to individuals, families and organizations (hospitals, schools, churches, children’s homes and prisons) in cooperation with local organizations and government institutions
