January 2012 Focus News - Jubilee Bible Project
As we celebrated our 50th Anniversary in 2010, we launched our Jubilee Bible Project - raising funds for 1,000,000 Bibles. We have made great progress on our target, but our field countries of Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine have made plans for all 1,000,000 Bibles and we don’t want to let them down! We are approximately 200,000 off our target and the feedback so far has been amazing!
Churches we already had working relationships with have loved being able to provide personal Bibles to all church members and have loved taking additional Bibles on their outreaches. Many other churches have come out of the woodwork across the country when they have heard Bibles were on offer. Bibles are now in the hands of school students, university students, government officials, families and the elderly and lives are being transformed!
Please read our January 2012 appeal which gives a great update and be inspired how you can make a difference! If you can help, $8 will put a Bibles into the hands of someone who needs of hear of our Heavenly Father and His plan for salvation through His Son Jesus. Please pray also as these Bibles are distributed. God’s Word is powerful. The enemy would love to see these efforts thwarted but our workers and church partners know lives are being changed and are energised to distribute every last one of the 1,000,000 Bibles we have promised! If you can help, we would love your one-off donation. You can do so by making a secure donation through our website now - DONATE NOW or feel free to contact us on (02) 9647 2022 to make a credit card donation over the phone (our full contact details can be found here.)
