What is Family to Family?

This program focuses on the most needy families in our field countries.

Every family receives at least one parcel a month. This is either a food parcel or a hygiene parcel. In addition the family is given access to all our other FamilyCare programs. This depends on the need and include; MotherCare parcels, Summer Camp, medical assistance, Optical care, medicines, clothing, Bibles and Christian literature, Bible Correspondence Courses, vocational training, and regular visits from our co-ordinators to offer comfort, emotional and spiritual counselling. For each family the needs vary, and so to do the items we supply.

The goal is to help the family gain self-sufficiency.

Are there special requirements when families are selected for this Family to Family program?

Every family must meet the requirements laid down in each country. When a family regains employment and is able to provide adequately for themselves they graduate from the program.

When a family deliberately lies to our workers they are removed from the program.

What is a pledge sponsor?
For every family we look for four sponsors to share the information about one family.The monthly pledge is $35.This pledge goes into our Family Care Plus program and the registered families are given assistance from this pool. Your is to the program, yet you focus on one family.

What is the reward for a sponsor?
Your reward is your involvement with a particular family. You may write four times a year. Your family photo becomes a treasure to the family. You will receive annual up dates to show the changes over time that you are providing. You will be blessing a very poor family who can repay you nothing but thanks, and for believers who will pray to God for you. You will be demonstrating the love of God to people who have often lost all hope. Bringing hope to the hopeless will be your joy.
