Why Donations to Mission Without Borders are not tax deductible
Mission Without Borders does not qualify for Deductible Gift Recipient Status (Tax Deductibility) as the ministry of Mission Without Borders is ‘Reaching People for Christ’ – Christian witness is central to all our ministry. Christian witness intertwined with humanitarian aid work is not an acceptable combination for an organisation attracting tax deductible gifts in Australia. In addition, our work in Eastern Europe falls outside of the Area of the world the Australian Government considers Developing – and therefore worthy of tax deductible humanitarian aid help.
These views of the Australia government do not accurately reflect the reality of the tremendous poverty the children, families, disabled and elderly in Eastern Europe endure and the crucial nature of our ministry.
Thank you for your generous donations to our ministry despite this lack of tax deductibility.
