OCL is a very important project for Romania. Christmas is one of the most important celebrations in our country and yet many people cannot afford the basic preparations for such an occasion. The needy people do not feel the difference between Christmas and a regular day because for them, every day is the same: little food or no food at all on the table.

This year, Romania will bring hope to 7000 persons/families. The parcels will be delivered during Christmas and just like every year, we know that each single parcel will be a real blessing to the beneficiaries.

One parcel weighs 12 kilos and it contains:

- 1 kg of rice

- 2 kg of flour

- vegetable soup (you can make up to 29 l of soup)

- 2 kg of sugar

- dried fruit (peaches and nectarines)

- 3 bags of spaghetti

- 2 bags of noodles

- 1 canned meat

- 2 chocolates

- 1 bag of candies

- salt

- 1 l of cooking oil

- tea

- yeast

- 4 rolls of household paper

Starting the beginning of October, the logistics manager made the necessary inquiries at the super stores in our town and in the beginning of November, we received all the requested items. Soon after, we started packing. There were 10 volunteers working on the OCL parcels and we are happy to say that all parcels are now packed and ready to be delivered. They will be taken to the coordinators who will personally give them to poor families in their counties. OCL parcels will also be delivered via the Church Care program.

We are happy to be able to bring sunshine into the lives of the most affected poor people and to tell them the Good News: that Jesus came into the world out of love for them!
